THE STORY OF SENIOR OPTIONS SYSTEMS
Senior Options Systems, LCSW, LLP was established in 1997 and reflects the vision of two Licensed Clinical Social Workers Jennifer Rogak, LCSW-R (right) and Linda Schwarzmann, LCSW-R (left). Their partnership was formed based on their years of working in medical and psychiatric settings. Having worked extensively in the field, Jennifer and Linda saw the value of providing individualized consultation to patients and their families as they navigated through the complex and ever changing health care system. Along with their broad knowledge and compassionate style, they are able to assist patients and families during challenging times.
In 2003, SOS incorporated another crucial service to their practice. While functioning primarily as a geriatric care management practice, it became apparent to them that psychological issues associated with the aging, illness and caregiving needed to be addressed. SOS became an integral service to the community by providing in home and outpatient counseling services to address the mental health needs of their clients. Today, SOS consists of a team of Licensed Clinical Social Workers who are committed to providing the highest quality of psychotherapy services.
In 2005 they recognized the important role of long term care insurance. Many clients in need of care were not utilizing the LTC policies they had purchased. Recognizing the need to become proficient to better serve their clients, they attained licensing in Life and Health insurance. Combined with their knowledge of healthcare they are able to assist clients with understanding their policies and expediting the claim process.
Jennifer and Linda are proud to be members of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). They are also members of the Suffolk County Mental Health Association and Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care (SSWLHC). They hold specialty certifications in Practice of Aging, Private Practice, and Advanced Case Manager (C-ASWCM).
